What does this mean? (probably something simple, it's driving me CRAZY!!) I'm using the SMP F@H client with Ubuntu 64 6.06 LTS, for a 64 bit PC on a manufactured CD, for an Athlon 64 X2 4200+, stock GHz, 1 GB DDR 400

This is the second time this bull has happened. What's going on? I'm getting tired of completing WU's and then not being able to send them in for credit. The first time it happened I deleted everything and started over again as per this Web site: http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-SMP.html

Edit: I'm folding on an Athlon 64 3000+ and a PD 805, both with absolutely "NO PROBLEMO's ".These two machines are using WinXP and the 4200 is using Ubuntu 64. I wish they made a SMP client for Winders. (all copies of Winders bought, paid for and activated) :bang head

Man, between ChasR, lhrsetrdr and harlem357 I don't think their are many problems us "newbies" can't get the fixing answer from. You guys are friggin' geniuses. After I chmoded it and had it in the right folder everything went fantastic. :D

Oh yeah, I finally did like I was instructed, I read the instructions, Duh... :-/ (thanks ChasR, not a bad idea)

PS: I appologize for the crumby attitude. The only excuse I can give is I was angry and scared I was going to lose another WU.

I still consider myself a "linux-noob", and certainly ain't no genius, but maybe just gettin' close to getting my Advanced-Noob certificate! ;)

Want WU was that? I believe Bruce over at FC.org said that all of the p3007 wu's were going belly up, not completing.

No, thanks to you good people I saved the WU I thought I was going to loose
"Advanced Noob certificate" I like that. I figure I've only got 5 or 10 more years of folding 24/7 to get mine

Oh yeah, harlem357, you might not have been in this particular thread, but you answered a lot of my questions when I was worrying about my folding times on a X2 4200+ using SMP. This is one good forum for a "Noob" to ask folding questions in.

That's the only project I've had so far ih... and I've only seen one go belly up. The rest have finished just fine.

Maybe I need to get over there and share my findings. :D
