I bought the AX-7 HS without a fan. It comes with 4 long black screws and 4 small black rubber thingies. They look about the right size to fit into the holes on my mobo. I installed the HS easily, but now I have to install the fan I just bought. But I"m not sure what to do. I don't have any fan clips or anything, just the 4 black screws and the rubber. I don't know or think that the screws will be held in place simply by the rubber. Help!!!!

Go to the front page (overclockers.com) and click on "Click Here for Heatsink and Watercooling Performance Rankings". The ThermalRight AX-7 is on the top of the HSF chart. Click on AX-7 and go to Joe's review of that HSF. Joe talks about the rubber washers etc. Joe says the rubber washers go between the heat sink and the fan. This gets the fan blades off the heat sink a little, and isolates fan vibration from the Heat sink. Hope that helps.

The rubber washers go between the fan and the AX-7. Use the 4 screws to screw the fan onto the AX-7, the screws grab onto the fins. Didn't that thing come with directions?
