I am currently looking to find a good MMORPG game. I am looking for a game that can be played for a long time without getting bored of it, and I game I can choose when to play without affecting my game play. I like solo hunting and once in a while party hunting. I prefer there to be a PvP system of some sort.

Any suggestions?

World of Warcraft if you like the big guild, and big group style of play.

Guild Wars if you like the smaller group and solo play aspect. It also has better PvP than WoW, in my opinion.

Those are the only two that I have experience with.

WoW is the big one at the moment. Decent solo and group quests. There is pvp but i think the system is borked :p

Lineage II, Guild Wars, and World of Warcraft.

I hate EQII. It makes me sad. Don't turn to the dark side. Stay away from EQII

I also hear Dark Age of Camelot is pretty fun.

if you're looking to not get bored i'd definitely say everquest 2. it definitely has more content than any of the games mentioned above (and i played all the ones above). seriously, if you want a game not populated by retards with tons of options what to do eq2 is it. pvp is going to be implemented sometime soon also. if you want a clue about the depth of any of these games and the community that plays them visit their forums.

-if you want to have fun for a month or two play wow... aside from getting old quick when i still played this game it was plagued by tards.
-if you want to have fun for a week or two play guild wars (although it definitely is NOT a mmorpg).
-i wouldn't even bother with lineage 2.

guild wars and wow are dumbed down so it will only hold your attention for so long...

world of warcraft is a great game , I would still be playing if my gf said her or the game has to go it was my choice. I hope she is happy with her new life , jk , I had to stop playing . it is very addictive and it is lots of fun . check out OCG if you have any other questions on WoW . SpeeDj is the founder of that site which is a sister site of OCforums . Undead Priests Rule :attn: :attn: :attn:

Thanks guys. I'm going to go pick up World of Warcraft in a few minutes. I decided to try it out since I won't be able to play games everyday. More like some days when I'm free, which isn't a lot of time. But, it will keep me entertained when I'm finished with everything, I guess.

BTW, will the game still run okay on my laptop I'm getting soon? (If I want to play in my room at times instead of in the computer room.)

Pentium M 2Ghz
ATI X300 128bit,128mb
1gig RAM

Should run find on that laptop I would think, or atleast decently well. Good choice with WoW, I have no idea which server Banyan was playing on, I play on skywall and there's nothing but nice and helpfull people, some for Tichondrious(though since it's a PvP server, some people will be ***holes). But I certainly haven't been meeting any "retards"
.

My vote is for EQ2. Tons of content and the community rocks. As mentioned above "Low in Tards".

As for my suggestion EVE. It is strongly favored for PvP, but there is lots of content for PvE too.

You might beable to find some demo's still out there for trial versions of EVE. The good thing about this game, Free expansion packs, free updates, and all players are contained in 1 world.
