Help me get some 512mb sodimm pc100 memory.

I hate to do this, but I have tried craigslist and I cant seem to find anyone who has some old pc100 256/512 chips laying around. I have an old macbook I want to upgrade and I cant without more ram and $50 for a 512stick is outragous for this 5+yr old machine.

I'm not sure where you're looking, but just browsing through various places, I didn't see any 512MB PC133 SODIMMs for more than $30. The average seems to be about $20-25 a stick, like here.

Luckily the old iBooks aren't very picky about RAM, so even though that eBay listing I linked is lying about it being low density, it should still work in your machine, and the price is not bad.

i dont think this is pc100 but just incase it is, i have a couple 1gb kits...

Both are corsair 1gb kits:

VS512mb400--maybee this is just a 512 kit?

i found a stick of pc100, not sure on the capacity tho...

That Corsair set is DDR 400, and the PC100 stick is 64MB.
