 I have tons of jobs backing up that are complete and the go to anuploading status. Thats were the hang.

In message I keep getting:

Error on upload: Can't open log file.
Temporarily failed upload.

I hope these aren't dead and I can get them uploaded becauase that is a huge waste of time CPU and jobs. Al machine have some so it is to not just one machine. But my HT has most of them.:bang head

If these are lost and it continues to happen I will be forced to change Projects. Not working my machines for nothing!!

The problems on their end(Berkely). So theres not much we can do ourselves but wait till its fixed.

Update. We are back up and will do more of a post mortem tomorrow.

The data server failed again! We are in the process of trying to reboot it - the project may be down a few hours as we get this thing back up and resync'ed.

If your running low on work, you can always take advantage of BOINC's multiproject abilities and join up with another one of the projects.

Berkley is broken ... again. When in doubt blame it on berkley, after all they've been done more often then up for the last several weeks.

I wouldnt worry too much - every once in awhile something like this happens, usually it clears up in a few hours/days. Definitely suck to lose all this work though hehe.

Just double checked all my messsages - i'm not getting the same thing, I'm just receiving the standard "No schedulers responded" error that means their servers are down.

Have you tried killing your boinc client and restarting it?

I'm running the 4.13 client on all my machines fyi (I think 4.19 is available though)

Yup, this new server has issues. It's too bad too, becaue it's pretty beefy. I think they should look for an Overclockers.com volunteer to get the dang thing working...the expertise on this board is second to none!

According to their news the problems are not with the new server (Thank goodness hehe). Dont know if they will have to replace the troublesome one or not, but hopefully they'll get themselves fixed up soon.

its probably software related.

I.e. a program is making too many executions, and getting into a redundant cycle so the machine shuts down/crashes.

Just a thought ... same thing has happened to me a few times when trying to find 1000digit prime numbers on my PIII500mhz.

Ohhh, my bad. I misunderstood their info. Of course, the "data server" going down is just as effective at bringing down the entire project ;)

P.S., just about out of WU's here...

Yeah...I have jobs that backed up, about 6-8 per machine, then they stopped coming into me as well.

*edit*
Oh yeah, dumb question, to set my queue further out, do I just change the "amount of time to reconnect to server" from the default of .1 to like, 3-4 for 3-4 days? or..?
