I bought a globalwin fop38.......sure it cools down my computer just great, but it sounds like a hair dryer on HIGH. Any suggestions on keeping the noise down, while not having to buy a new cooler?

My mom has to close the door to my pc room because she cant hear the tv. i dont mind the loudness but its high pitched squeel is driving me nuts. Im going to get an 80mm as soon as the pocket book alows. Probably the sunon HO model. 42cfm 36 dba.

This is a perfect example of "how can anyone answer this". You don't say what your processor is, CPU temperature, case setup, ambient temperature, etc. You may not need the Delta 38...but then again you might..

I'm assuming that those of you fed up with loud fans are going to use fan adapters. Wouldn't this cause back flow?
