bu that is for 500fsb ..

right now im 8 x 425

ill give it a try ..

but he says CPU HTT vcore ?? i dont have that .. all i have is

cpu core
cpu fsb
memory
nforce spp
nforce mcp
ht nforce spp <--> mcp

but im running an old bios .. guess i should upgrade to the beta since the final seems to have issues

but no floppy:cry:
ht nforce spp <--> mcp (that is the HTT link on the motherboard.. spp and mcp are the SB and the NB)

And the voltage settings should work fine for lower FSB, those are the settings he found after tweaking his i680 and some are not related to what works well at high FSB they are just what works well period.

are you sure there isnt an app to upgrade bios from windows? (sorry I cant help more here I don't recall)

so the spp <--> mcp is the cpu HTT he is talking about ?

yeah winflash .. but according to the evga forums .. they only say usb flash drive or floppy .. no mention of windows flash ..
i used winflash on my dfi board np .. but people say its risky

the only HTT on that motherboard is between the NB and the SB, why he said CPU HTT I don't know it could be what it says in the Asus model's (non-striker) bios.

yeah he says cpu HTT and then HT also .. so i only have 1 .. so ill see ... also he sets LDT to 3x .. still cant even find this in the bios lol

also for mem .. my crucials do 5-5-5-15 cas 5 ..

is there a way to find out what the 5-5-5-15 are ??
like tras .. etc

you should have full subtimings options in the bios much less the main timings

looks like the bios are getting complex on you.. did you read the VRzone review? Sham took pictures of the bios screens.

And yes you can set the HTT multiplier.. thats in there to..

let me dig up the review for you :)

here it is :) http://www.vr-zone.com/index.php?i=4215

btw.. ntune is active on this motherboard, it actually changes the bios settings so it might be easier to use ;)

thanks for the link ..
well 3.4 failed at 1.425 or 1.38 in bios after 1hr 25 min

Use PCmark04 or 05 for quick stabiltiy tests.. orthose/prime for fine tuning stabiltiy (it takes too long  )

btw.. I forgot to warn ya, carefull with ntune with that motherboard, it should have some settings that could be a bit too much for your hardware, Vdimm comes to mind.

im not using ntune .. just used it to monitor temps .. but now i just use TAT

according to shamino .. the evga board undervolts around 0.7v .. so 1.425 was 1.38 .. so now im up to 1.45 .. so should be around 1.4 .. so ill try again

i raised the mcp and spp to 1.55 .. same with the htt .. so we shall see if that helped .. plus the ldt to 3x instead of the 5x it was at ..

shamino said in the review he saw no difference with the mcp / spp volts

I was refering to ntunes bios acess if you were having trouble finding your settings in the bios.

the voltage givin if it doesnt help would be the lowest btw

what program can let me see the mcp and spp temps ??

just wondering with 1.55 going thru the mcp and spp ..

well left my pc on all night with dual orthos running .. it passed 12 hours @ 3.5 with like 1.43 actual vcore .. not bad .. gonna try for 3.6

still using original bios .. after hearing all the horror stories with the newer bios .. im afraid to use it

edit

well for some reason i cannot get 3.6 to run .. right after i save and exit the bios .. it resets to default .. even with 1.5 ( 1.46 actual)
havent even touched the memory yet .. still running it at 800

so right now im gonna try and get stable at 3.55 .. DAMN i really wanted over 3.6

one more question ..

so for the evga board .. all i do is set the ddr to wutever mhz i want and then it runs that independently of the cpu fsb ?

right now using TAT .. my temp idles around 42-46 depends how hot in my room .. plus it loads around 52-54c

not bad .. rock stable ..

time to work on mem
