Ok i wanna throw some more fsb into my Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Now is runs pretty cool for a laptop (51c cpu --> 43c case)
Ok which program should i use to overclock? I looked at several different programs but they required to know what motherboard and it doesnt show the one i have!
help?

Oh and my Motherboard = Intel 852GME chipset
Its a Toshiba Satellite A45S121
http://www2.shopping.com/xPF-Satellite_A45_S121

try clockgen.
IF you can find your mobo manufacturer.

___

The sad part about OEMs is that they make it damned impossible to overclock whatsoever. If clockgen doesnt work you are SOL.

128 Cache...ouch.

100mhz bus...big ouch

128 cache + 100mhz bus = I feel sorry for anyone that has to use that laptop. Heheh... I'd want to suicide overclock it too!

That's still miles ahead of my Presario 1720US... :( Even with 133/512 in mine.

ah yes i managed to do it. i used the - DFI 855GME-MGF cos i looked in CPUZ and it says the motherboard is an i855GM/ GME chipset...
Ok im overclocking right now, lets see how far this baby will go !

WTH?
[crazy suggestion]Crank up the speed to 4GHz or something and see if it still works. If it does, I'd bet a doughnut that it's not actually OCing :D Of course, I won't be held responsible if it actually does OC it and your lappy turns into a molen pile of ooze ;) I'm guessing that it's not actually OCing it though.[/crazy]

You might also want to try CPUMSR. It will let you tweak the multiplier (to a small degree), which for me at least actually resulted in bus speed changes to keep the CPU at the same speed.

ok ill give it a try!
[evil-idea] NEW UBER CPU --> 16GHz !!![/evil-idea]

Woah ok maybe it is haha !!

I hit 3.4GHz 3dmark + Prime stable !!! Old 3dmark @ 2.8GHz = 1700, @ 3.4GHz = 2200
