Im only new at this so please be patient
Ok i have recently purchased the Soltek SL-75KAV motherboard and a duron 800 cpu,

When i installed windows 2k i started having problems, it worked fine for awhile but the it started rebooting, and now everytime i go into windows it reboots,

I have tried just about every thing to find were the problem is,
I tried reinstalling windows 2k, but it wouldnt work, everytime i try to load windows back on again it gives me some error about the hdd or a file is corrupt,

I even tried Windows ME but nope it doesn't work either,

At first i thought it might have been my Video card, but after several tests it was fine, now i think me hdd has **** itself.
BELOW IS WHAT I HAVE IN ME SYSTME (FOR NOW HEHEHEHE)

SOLTEK SL-75KAV mainboard
Duron 800 cpu with a thermoengine hsf
128meg SDRAM
2hdd : 2.6gig (Fugitsu) and a 3.2gig (Quantum)
Intel 740 agp video card (ITS **** BUT WILL DO FOR NOW)
Sound Blaster Live!
Internal netcomm modem
And ISA Network card
NO O/S at the moment

Hey if ya can help me at all it would be appreciated

Are you sure the ram is good? I have seen it a few times since ram is so cheap I would buy a stick of 128 that you are sure will work well! some ram will even only show problems every now and then. I would double check everything and reinstall with a different stick of ram. let us know how it goes!

Yeah i have tried a different stick of ram but still no luck,
When i go to install windows i get errors,
I cant seem to find the problems, i am starting to think it may be the motherboard, what vcore voltage should a Duron 800 be set at i thought it was might be that,

Oh well let me know what ya think it could be,

Thanks

I dont know your mobo, but also check all you BIOS and jumper+dipswitch settings. I have a similar problem if I overclock too much! My memory set at CAS 2 and FSB too high gives me the same result. SUggest you set your FSB to lowest setting and your memory to CAS 3. Try to boot up and format and resinstall w2k. Then try to go faster from there.
