Help needed with web cam and/or eyeball chat

OK here is the deal:

I got a web cam (D-Link USB)and I am having trouble with it. As far as I can tell, I installed it correctly. But it only seems to work half way.

In eyeball chat, I can see myself in the preview window just fine. The problem manifests itself when I try to connect to anyone else.

I can see and hear them but they cannot see or hear me. Since the cam seems to be working and I know that my microphone is working, I think the problem is in eyeball. I have been through all the menus that are availiable and I just do not see and option that would seem to fix the problem.

I am fresh out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the problem in messenger. It would setup just fine but when I used it it would not work. Turns out I was'nt saving the setup so each time it would try to use my TV card as the video device instead of the IBM camera. Save the camera and audio setup.
