I just got a 1gz Athlon processor w/ pc 100 256MB SDRAM. I wanna overclock it to 1.2 but I'm not sure which is the best way to go at it. I was thinking of watercooling. Give me some responses of the best way to go at it. Thanx.

Well first off you need a motherboard with multiplier control, do you have one yet, if not id recomend the Abit KT7 or Asus A7V. For cooling water is the best but air cooling is good to a point. To change the multiplier you need to connect the L1 bridges on your CPU with a pencil or other conductive material, check the articles on this site for more info.

Hey I am getting a 1gz Tbird and kt7with raid and I was wondering what the best heatsink for it. I just want something for under $40. I am using all the money I have and I dont have enough for water cooling

I got a 1ghz T-bird and Abit KT7-RAID last month, I got it overclocked to 1100mhz now. I haven't unlocked it yet, I am waiting on a copper shim and frost spray from overclockers hideout. As of now my temp is 84F idle, 104F full load. I use the retail heatsink/fan, 2 case fans, a card cooler, slot fan, and twin turbo fan.

From what I have read recently the best heatsink is the hedgehog. But if you want cheap, then the silver orb is good, its not as good as the hedgehog, but its easier to get as far as I can see.
