Hello everyone! I wanted to buy a psp but then decided its not worth it so ill go with nice videocard this year for Christmas. Brands get me confused. I dont know the difference. eg PowerClolor, Saphire, Ausus....etc. I want to buy an ATI card. dunno why but i just like ati better. I have a 9600XT 256 mb now and i want to get a super fast video card capable of giving me nice framerates for all the new games like FEAR, COD2, NFS MW, Godfahter and all the upcoming games. What should i buy?? The max i can spend is 500 bucks.

Anyone have any suggestons??? Im clueless.

Oh and i need it for agp,and i have AMD64 3.2GHz and 1GB ram. Thanks for any help in advance.

if your limited to AGP and ATI then a X850XT PE is the way to go if you dont wanna OC and unlock cards.

would nvidia give me more bang for the buck?

well a 6800gt can be had for less but needs to be overclocked to 6800 ultra speeds and then you have an X850 class card for less.

depends what you play for games a 6800gt is better in some things and a X850XT is better than other, the X850 being marginally faster.

Personally, since AGP is starting to die out and you want to get yourself a fairly high end AGP card, you'd be better off going with a 6800GT. Overclock that thing to-PAST Ultra speeds and you got yourself a very, very powerful card. And it wont break your wallet ;)
