K, I have two problems.
1. On my Geforce 3, when I boot up, it goes to the Windows BOOT UP SCREEN (XP), and the Windows thing has some lines going thru it that invert its color, and the same with its progress bar. Also, across the screen, there are vertical lines, 3 in a group, groups about 3.5 inches apart. I have cleaned it numerous times with Hydrogen Peroxide and Isopropyl Alcohol, nothing works. When I look at the resistors on the front end of the card, it looks as if they were charred. (its a modded (Cooling and BIOS) Hercules Prophet 3)). C111 looks a little grey, C100's top is completely grey, C108 and C104 look as if they should have resistors (IE the solder points are up a bit, but no resistor), C105 is grey with some black on one end, C106 has the same problem as C108 and C104. I am not sure if this is due to oxidation (the Hydrogen Peroxide), or it was burnt or damaged. It has a Swiftech MC462-A Exoxied on as its GPU heatsink, 2 Tt Ramsinks epoxied on, and a Crystal Orb epoxied on the back (not shorting resistors, i used Alumina Epoxy to cover them first).
2. My sound card is not being detected by windows anymore. It is a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer. I was playing RCT and the sound started going crackling, so i adjusted the sound cables to the card, and it shifted the card slightly, and froze the PC. When I rebooted (and put the card back into place), it refused to detect the card. I am worried that a Power In pin moved and shorted a capacitor.
Please help me. Thanks.
