I'm still very new to overclocking, but I've got AYHJA "Y" 1.33Tbird in an Epox 8k7a+ and I'm overclocking to around 1553. I must be doing something wrong because I can only up my FSB to 135 before it becoming unstable. Here my configuration from info I've pick up on this and other similar forums:

L7 unlocked and jumper set to +0.V (BIOS - PC Heath shows 2.02V)
DDR Adjust set to +0.2V with SDRAM setting 8882622
CPU Clock jumper set to 133MHz
Flashed BIOS with 8k7a1711
Multiplier x11.5
Additional Info: 1 stick Crucial 256Mb 2100 DDR.. Antec sx830 w/300W PS... Golden Gate (Gladiator) HS w/27cfm stock fan.....(temps are around 55c idling) Radeon 64 VIVO, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound Card.

Anyone have advise on how I can get a little more out of FSB?? I was able to get it up to around 140 with multiplier down to 10.5, but that's the highest, even when I lower multiplier.

Thanks

That is so funny, I just ordered almost the exact same system. I will tell you how my progress is. You might have to up the v. core. What is it at right now? What wattage psu do you have?

You definatlry need more volts if it is set at +0.0v. You ain't doing too bad though at anything over 1500Mhz.

You may benefit from changing the RAM timings so that they are less agressive in order to increase the frontside bus. the same memory that you have is on my board at SPD settings at CAS 2.5 (except I'm runing 8KHA with KT266 chipset 'cos its all done in the BIOS!!!)

If you're idling around 55c, I think it's time to look into a better HSF unit for that processor. The heat may be holding you back.

Yeah, I agree with changing HS+F. I just sold my Iwill KK266R to a friend because I thought I'd get more overclocking ability out of the epox 8k7a+ board. However, I was running 1000 Tbird stable at 1400 (10x140) with temps in the low 40's. Now my Epox &1.33 Tbird is struggling to get 1564 (11.5x136) with temps in the mid 50. I'm still pretty green at overclocking, but I can realize that this isn't as impressive as my previous system.

FYI: Used Taisol CGK742092on Iwill and Golden Gate (Gladiator) with Epox. Lapped Golden Gate and used Arctic Silver II with both.

I'm getting similar results with an ASUS A7V133 and the exact same CPU chip. You may be running up against the luck of the draw with the CPU chip.

That is one of the best hsf's out there, you might benefit from a better fan, something like a 33 cfm papst, but dont go crazy with cooling. Those temperatures are not always very acurate, and usually higher if it uses a thermistor. I think your problem is definatly voltages. If your load goes over 60 with a better fan, then you might have heat problems. You are using a good smothering of thermal paste right, if you are then upgrade to Artic Silver 2 and a better fan. Your temps will drop a good 5 degrees.
