I am looking to start building a PC and would like to put the AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz processor in. I would also like to go down the DDR route. Does anyone recommend the best motherboard for this that will also allow me to easily overclock the chip?
I am also looking at getting either the IBM 75GXP or the 60GXP disk but people have different opinions on what is the best. I was also considering using RAID 0 to speed up disk access. Can anyone recommend the best to use?
The PC is going to be used for some hardcore gaming!

Right now the EPOX 8K7A+ is looking very good if you want to go the DDR route. There ares some other choices as well including the MSI K7 master and the Asus A7V266.

Asus will be shipping the A7V266 soon, and it looks promising. I'm still going to wait for the KT266 v2 mobo's before I go to DDR.
