HELP! recovering data emptied out of recycle bin

basically what the title says. i very stupidly put some VERY important files into the recycle bin and then emptied it :bang head . now im at a loss on how to get them back. any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks alot - Owen

Search google. there are some programs that can help to get those files back. In the meantime, its best to turn your PC off, and leave it. Dont move any big files, as they may be written over the old ones. Also, be careful with the windows swap file (decrease its size until you recovered the files).

I also think there's some Norton program called GoBack or Ghost or somthin like that which basically searches your harddrives for sectors ignored by the OS, or something like that :confused: :confused: :rolleyes:

This may be a bit tedious, but YOU DO NOT WANT TO INSTALL OR WRITE ANYTHING TO THAT HARD DRIVE. Sorry for the caps. But yes, use another drive, install an OS on it if you have to, then use that hard drive to try to recover the data from the other one.
