Hi, I just upgraded the memory on this Motherboard from 1Gb (2X 512Mb) DDR PC3200 400Mhz to Patriot Extreme Performance 2Gb (2X 1024Gb) DDR2 PC6400 4-4-4-12 Memory I know that the speed of this memory is twice as fast as the old stuff but I have read and was told when I bought it that it was OK to put faster memory in because it will clock it's self down to the FSB speed. The problem is that I think the processor can't keep up and when running either several programs at once or games my system will Blue screen and shut down. I think I may need to increase or decrease either the speed or voltage on the CPU or the memory. I do not want to make the wrong adjustments and fry something so can you give me an idea what I should do to try and fix this problem?
Here is what my system report looked like before adding the DDR2 memory. By the way this motherboard will take both DDR & DDR2 memory and yes I know the board is crap, but it's what I had laying around from an old system and I can't afford to buy a new board these days because like a lot of Americans these days I lost my job 6 months ago and there's no one hiring.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
