Ok guys, I tried doing a search for this but couldn't find anything, so here goes. I have an Intel D815EEA with a PIII 800 that I want to overclock. When I try to use Softfsb or CPUBoost it says "cannot get SM base address". Also I don't have my motherboard book handy and have no idea what my pll manufacturer is. Where can I get this information from?? Is it especially difficult to overclock with this board?? Any help would be great, thanks.

Intel made mainboards are classicly impossible to overclock. You'd think an i815e would depart from this rule of thumb--'fraid I can't tell you if this still holds true.

Usualy you can identify your boards maker by the bios string at the lower left side of the screen durring bootup, and you write this string down,,(might take a few restarts to get it all) and go to the bios makers website, and you should find a link to identify your board.
Hope this helps

Ok I found my PLL, it's ICS 9250BF-28. I thought I was making progress but I checked SoftFSB and cpucool and neither have this PLL. Now what do I do?? Am I stuck?
