I have upgrade my Duron to Athlon XP ....
But it can't use the FSB of 133....
It can detect the CPU of XP (latest bios updated)
Feel so sad.... ( Maybe i need to change the M/Board)

First of all, Welcome ot the forums.

I'm sorry to tell you that you are not going to be able to run any CPU at 133MHz FSB on that motherboard.

The Epox 8KTA2, like all first generation socket A motherboards with the VIA KT133 chipset, is limited to FSB speeds in the 107MHz to 110MHz range.

You can run your CPU at the lower bus speed but you will be running at a lower overall speed and will surely take a hit on the performance potential of that chip in additrion to the enhanced memory performance at the higher bus speeds.

I would suggest that you take a look at one of the newer motherboards with the VIA KT266A chipset, several of which can be had in the $60 to $75 range. If you go this route you will also need to upgrade your RAM to DDR as well.

If you consider an upgrade to a SDRAM motherboard with the KT133A chipset that will support a FSB of 133+MHz you will have to make sure that you existing RAM can handle the increased bus speed as well. If you fiind your existing RAM in question, you would be better off upgrading both the motherboard and RAM since you'd have to purchase higher quality RAM regardless.

My .02.

Good Luck!
