My p4c800 e delux mobo sometimes wont turn on! The green LED is illuminated on the board itself but every now and then when i press the switch to turn the comp. on nothing happens. I have tested the switch with a multimeter and that is ok. I disconnected the switch from the mobo and shorted the two pins together and still nothing. I stripped out all the wires and just left the mobo wires in but still nothing. Tried 3 different power supplies but still the same. removed the mobo from the case and sat it on an anti static bag with the power supply connected, shorted the two pins. I tried this about 3 times then the 4th it powered up. Then i tried it again and nothing happend it would not power up. any one know what could the fault be? its still in warranty so should i do an rma or am i missing something?

Personally i would RMA that board quick.I just hope you have another board to back it up while you wait. RMA's take forever.Unless you cross ship .i think Asus offers cross shipping you pay them a deposit and they send you a new board then when they recieve the RMAed board the send back your money. i would look into that option. That way at least you dont go with out a mobo.

Well they accepted the rma, havn't got another board to use so i wiped off the dust on my trusty old p3 computer.

Thats good .Did you check out to see if they had cross shipping? Then you would only be with out your pc for a day while you swapped boards .Because you said it will start it just take a few tries. If you can deal with that for a few more days and you have a credit card you would be set. they would send you a new board and once you recieve it then you send um the bad board and when they get the bad board they credit the money back to.

asus support is non existent here in the uk so i had to return it to the company i got it from and they want to check it for themselves first. Its no bother any way im a patient person i can wait.
