William is Folding for us again, under my name. Has been since March 24th, late in the evening. I'm not sure of the specs of his rigs, but, mine are;

Main: XP1800+ @ 1702, MSI K7T266 Pro, 256MB PC2100
2nd: T-Bird 1.4 @ 1533, Shuttle AK31 v3.1, 256MB PC2100
3rd: T-Bird 1.0 @ 1400, EPoX 8KHA+, 256MB PC2100 (underclocked to 100FSB, ie PC1600 specs...will not run at 133... )
4th: P/// 700E @ 933, Abit SH6, 512MB PC133 (this is the "server-to-be", for whenever I can get a router of some kind working... )

1702+1533+1400+933=5568MHz

Are you sure 5568MHz total is all you've got folding?

:D From the looks of the stats, its pretty clear he's got one hell of a lot more than just 5.5gHz there, in fact, it looks like Mr_B is about to steamroller everybody except maybe Lews and RobertM!

In particular, looks like NedClocker is about to become his next victim? :p

I expect I will soon be one of his next targets so you aren't alone there. I am about to "hit the wall"... as the hot part of the year is fast approaching here in Gainesville, and the crunch between the airconditioning bill and the heat these boxes put out will force the "Gator" into hibernation for the summer...

...now if we could just manage to suborn that 1920-whatsisname fella away from Team Rage3D to fold for Overclockers ...

When did you move the K7T266 back into the main rig?

and what kind of memory is on the 8KHA+? may be the problem.

It went back into the full tower after playing the last round of "musical motherboards and CPU's". It just seems to work best in this config.... It might be the memory I have too, though. I've got three sticks of generic PC2100 (got them all from the same local store/repair shop), none match each other (I got what he had on hand at the time...bought each stick on different occasions).

The stick on the 8KHA+ is the only one of the three that will run on it at all. I've had this stick run fine at 266 on the MSI (it was the first stick I got, when I won the XP/MSI combo at the AMD Tour). It runs at 266 on the AK31 v3.1 too....  :(

I guess these 8KHA+ boards really are finicky with the ram you use... *sigh* I've got some things I need to square away, and and a couple of components I need first (a KVM would be a great start, lol....I'm gettting overrun with monitors, mice, and KB's)... Then I can look into getting some good DDR for the 8KHA+, and I'll try the XP 1800+ on it again.

I might try it out on the Shuttle again soon, now that I have a good enough PSU in that rig. I replaced the 300W generic with a 400W CompUSA PSU....the +5v line went from 4.68v to 4.95, and holds right there....:) It's just worked best on the MSI thus far, and I want the "pretty" modded tower to be the "main" rig.... the XP is the fastest chip I have right now, so that's how it's set up, and why it's back in the 4Q full tower.

My 8KHA+ runs just fine on Crucial PC2100. In fact, I have NEVER had a memory-related problem using Crucial memory on ANY machine.

Sorry Brian, all of my sticks are in use at the moment. :D

No problem...lol. It's running fine, it could just run a bit better. It's not a "rush" type of thing....

Folding is more "CPU" intensive than "memory" intensive anyways.... It's Folding at a similar rate as the other T-Bird rig, which is fine for now. It's a "dedicated" Folding box, so as long as that holds true, I'm not overly concerned about it. ;)

If it turns out that the dual board I wind up with has trouble with Crucial PC2100 Unregistered RAM, I may have two 256 MB sticks of Crucial that I'd need to get rid of in favor of some Registered DDR.... :)
