high fsb killing pci/agp cards?

yes it can happen. but i would expect a hard disk to crupt before a card was killed by the pci clock.
what was the pci clock at the time (how high was the fsb and what divider does the board suport?)

First 34MHz shouldn't bother it and second what board do you have to have a working 1/6 divider. Also if your running at 175FSB with a 1/6 divider you PCI would be running at 29.16MHz but if your mistaken about your divider and are running it at 1/5 your PCI would only be 35MHz.
