Greetings coolermeisters,

I just finished my first water-cooling project, with a Gemini waterblock and the homemade 4x4x4 utility box stuffed with a sub pump from a pet store.

The CPU is an 1.4G Athalon with currently NO overclocking. I only have an aluminum radiator inside my Antec case (very nice case btw)

Unfortunately, with a room temp of 69F/21C and a case temp of 73F/23C, I am only getting 93F/34C. I guess I expected a little better.

Do you think this is a good/bad/neutral temp to expect? Why?

Thank you,
BJL;)

I just got my first watercooling kit together for my 1.4G Tbird

Gemini high flow
Rio 380 GPH pump
HUGE heatercore.

I'm only getting 45C idle. 50 stress. The temps don't seem to go up at all (+1C) either when I overclock to 1.6G. That's wierd. Oh well. I think my mobo's thermothing is wrong. I even tried reseating the block, and I even have tons of pressure on it. I would be happy if I had your temps.

My theory/hypothosis is that the block can't sink all the heat, and some heat would rather conduct through the motherboard to the built-in sensor, thus giving us a little higher reading than it should.

I wonder if anyone has a more accurate way to measure block temps (cheaply :)

Thanks for your response,
BJL;)

Hey, us newbs gotta help eachother out. I think I might go get a compunurse (or whatever they're called) or something like it. A dual temp reader would be nice, because then I could use one to measure the resevior temp. If you know of one for cheap, let me know. Otherwise, there's a 101 DIY guides out there too.
