I built a box the same size as one 5¼ bay and used an 80mm fan laying flat drawing air from inside the case and exhausting it out of holes i drilled in the front bay cover. It is basically a squirrel cage fan but I built it all myself. I put the system in the top bay to draw out all the heat that rises inside the case. It was worth a 4ºC drop in temp for 15 minutes of work and zero money. It was fun to build and it helped drop my case temps!
