I ordered the KT7a Mobo and I was wondering if someone could tell me how I could tell the difference.

I mean, I am no expert, and some kid could have put a KT7 board or Kt7e board in the box, and I would not know the difference. Help me know for sure, and sleep well, knowing I got what I ordered. Thanks.

well mine is the kt7a raid and it has it written on it, but RAID is written on the 'highpoint chipset' which is on the raid versions,
have you got mobo yet?

The difference is the chipset such as the KT7 has the Via KT chipset, the KTa has the Via KTa chipset... but like wild_andy_c wisely said I also think you worry to much

besides the chipset difference, almost every board has it's "make and model" (Board/Revision) printed on it somewhere, usually between the pci/isa slots. Also, it will display the board information whenever you post, if you're really paranoid, you can report the results of your board info at posting to the board maker and they can give you a better idea of what all of the post info means...
