How can make a bootup floppy?

I am running W2k pro, upgraded from 98...anyway, there are lots of weird things or rather new things in w2k, one is no "command and prompt" uh..now i want to flash my bios, but guess i cannot do it like what i used to, so help!! one last thing, in my system, there is no "msconfig" and cannot find "win.ini" too...:(

check your mobo manufacture's web site to see if you can download your flash program and sve it on a floppy with the new bios. should have some special instructions fo making a disk for w2k and xp. i had to do that with my xp the first time cause the asus bios update program wouldn't work from windows.

2000 has no DOS, so one of the places you can go for a DOS boot disc is www.bootdisk.com . The Dr. DOS file they have is just what you need. It is an executable, double click on it, and it will prompt you to insert a floppy. After you've done that, then put the flash utility and BIOS file on it. And away you go.
