how can u get your site on a search engine?

I noticed some how you can get it on google and yahoo for free but dont know how

There are lots of sites out there that will submit your site to the search engines for free! Here is one that will submit to 20 engines.

Submitting the site is only a part of the process. You also need to make sure the content of the page is relavent ot the topic you are submitting to.

Also, various search engines use various methodolgies for listing a site. For example, some might use meta tags, some might use content, some go by how many sites are linked to yours and so on.
