How can you tell if NorthBridge is too hot?

Is there any good way to tell if your NB is hotter than it should be? I know it doesn't matter as much as the CPU, but stilll.

I opted for a Zalman fanless NB cooler in my W/C rig for noise reasons, but the HS is still warm on the bottom. Is this to be expected or do i just not have enough airflow?

I very much doubt it is too hot. You have a good cooling soultion there so i would not worry too much. I assume you are refuing the the board in your sig which uses a kt333 northbridge. These are fairly cool running anyway so there should be nothing to worry about.

The best way to monitor nb temps is to get a tempreture probe and tape it to the back of the mobo directly behing the nb chip. (at least thats the way i do it:))
