Another nice little command... Go to command prompt.

ipconfig/all

Tells you a bunch of crap you rarely need to know.

If you have a Router, the above methods will not generally work because they will tell you the LAN IP address of your NIC card. You either have to access your Router information to determine your public IP address, or you can use a website like DSL Reports and it will tell you your public IP address.
