when the new gromacs came out they switched AXP's to 3dnow emulation cause SSE was causing instability. the new beta is supposed to fix it but i don't know if i just replace the .exe or if i have to download a new gromacs core.

i downloaded the 3.25 beta. do i just replace the old winFAH.exe with the new beta and that's it? or do i need to delete FAH_core78.exe?

I had to:D

Correct procedure for using SSE on an AMD rig as of right this minute.

1. Get the beta client from here: http://folding.stanford.edu/beta/beta.html

2.stop the client

4. Rename the new beta client 3.25 to replace the one there now.

5. Delete FAH_core78.exe

6. Make sure you are using the -advmethods and the -forceasm flags (the Forceasm flag is the one turning on SSE now)

7. Restart the client:D
