Dear Anyone.

Downloaded a program called Driver Detective to work out what upgrade drivers I needed. Discovered that, in effect, I had to shell out for the results, so uninstalled it.

Now if I try to install ANYTHING else, Install Shield tries to RE-install Driver Detective! It doesn't matter what self-extracting installation package of whatever program I click on, it comes up 'Installing Driver Detective'. If I'm online, it tries to pull it down from its website! If I'm NOT online, it just says 'can't find the installation program' and stops.

How do I get rid of this monster so I can install other stuff??? I feel like I'm :bang head !

Yours frustratedly

Uninstall it and then run CCleaner, it will remove the left over registry entries. Also I'd run Spy Bot S&D. If that doesn't work might want to post in the correct forum (either software or windows).
