how do i update my video bios?

i have nvflash and the bios file, what do i do now?
also, id like to save my current revision, is it possible? does nvflash do this?

i have a dos 622 boot disk i use to update my mainboard bios, is it possible to use it too? there is no autoexec.bat or config.sys. it was formatted using the /s command.

so, i have nvflash and the bios file; will i only need to boot with a dos system floppy then to enter the command:

nvflash bios.rom

is this right?

doenst anyone know what to do to save the current bios to the disk??

For getting a backup of your current bios I think you need this file. To flash you need to make a boot disk... what ever OS you have will do... 9X kernals are self explanatoiry and for XP just right click on the floppy drive and select format. Then select "Make MSDOS Boot Disk". Then boot with the disk. I believe if you just type nvflash.exe it will list the parameters for use. Good luck bro.

Just a suggestion but its extremely helpful if you have a cheap PCI video card handy should you run into a problem, A pci card will allow you to re-flash the original bios in a pinch.

I have a Trident 1mb pci card that I keep for just such an scenario.
