How Do I view lan pages in Linux?

When Im using windows I just type in for example damage and it brings be to the lan page....however Im a newbie using Mandrake Linux and when ever I type in the lan page now like damage it wont go there it just brings be to a search page where it searches for pages online that have the word damage in them...

So how can i view lan pages in Linux?

Are you talking about web pages on a LAN?
Try typing in the IP adress of the computer.

Ie, to view a page on 10.11.0.1 do:

http://10.11.0.1/

That should work :)
 
Thanks for the help...That was the problem because the servers are running windows so it was a domain name error but ips for the lan web pages worked
