Hey guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my celeron 466 to something faster, problem is I'm running a soyo 6ba+IV. I'm not sure what the speed limit is on it. any helf would be appreciated.

I found this link that might help you.

It appears you have a slot 1 motherboard and it looks like it will support some P-III processors, so that's good news. My guess is if you use a good slotket adapter, then you'd be able to use about any socket 370 Coppermine Celeron or P-III CPU, especially if there is a BIOS update available.

yeah tahat's what I thought, I just didn't want to buy a proc that I loved then have to return it because it wont work in my mobo. New egg has a 1.0a ghz celeron for $66. I'd like to get it but I'm not sure if it will work... any ideas if it will... it's odd. I know tons of things about computer, I use them every day. But the second I want to buy something for it I'm comfused and paralyzed.

if you want to run the Celeron 1.0A then you will have to get the Powerleap adapter....no other one will work....
