anyways note the ram in my sig, i asked a while back about what "max" voltage was, we all decided (based on their website) that crosair says no higher then 1.8v (1.7 on my board)

then again...amd says that you shouldnt change the multiplier

how high do you guys go before my ram starts to ->

Where does Corsair say 1.8v?

Do you mean 2.8v?

I run mine at 2.9vdimm, Cas 2, 2-3-3-6 timings at 200 FSB, dual channel mode.

Timbo you should know better than to ask questions like this

...what are you talking about

*forgive my typo*

2.8 is max crosair, how high do most of you go

Is crosair ram high quality? I've use Corsair before, but I've never heard of crosair. Are they a sister company?

That may or may not be the highest you can run it. It is, however, the highest you can probobly run it under warrenty. But who cares about warrenty anyhow?

My 2 sticks of XMS3200 have been running at 2.7V for the last year.

I'm just wondering if maybe i were to pump more juice into the ram i could get higher then 220, i doubt it's my mobo as that would only be a 20mhz overclock

i wouldn't trust crosair, sounds like a corsair rip off, most boards use 2.5v default for ddr voltage, if it's max is 1.8v, you're already stressing it with default voltage:p

now seriously, i like to just stick to default voltage and see how much i can get out of that, you don't have to stress you system out to the max, probably not a real world performance gain there, just numbers (201<202), always leave a little headroom since the summer heats everything up and instability problems go up usually due to "max overclocks" for cpus that work in the winter temps but once summer comes around...i'm set at 2.5v, Epox USDM says it's 2.48v but i'm running timings a little tighter than default and memtest comes out fine, mushkin lets you use up to 2.7v by the way and claims that any higher will risk damage to the ram

no offense but i cant belive any of that

first of all usually the default voltage is 2.6 not 2.5

second, when at 2.6 i can get a minor overclock of 210-ish, at 2.7 i get 223mhz.

2.8 here, my corsair doesnt like 2.5 or 2.6, cant even get it to its stock speeds with thoses 2.

i found my stick gets no benifit from higher voltages. ive tryed up to 3.2 volts. and while i could post higher, the ram could not be stable. the cpu is stable well beyond the speeds where my memory quits at 3:4
