Hi all
Can one of you tell me how high i should try without damaging anything.
I have a Asus mobo 133 mhz
PIII 800EB
geforce 256 ddr
infinion pc133 256mb ram
seagate baracuda udma 66
soundblaster live
I am now running at 964 mhz and is stable , also when using 3D games.
Original heatsink with plenty fans.
Thankz for reply's

The chances of damaging anything isn't that high, even if you go for the gig - but strange things happen, u know!

I would be sure to get something better to cool your CPU, because the stock heatsink isn't suited for overclocking at all! Check out some Alphas or GlobalWin coolers, and get some good thermal grease, like Arctic Silver.

Hi Allan
My idle temp is 34c and full load is 45
I have replaced the fan from the original heatsink with i believe is a alpha fan , the kind normally goes with the alpha peltier rigged heatsink.
I am looking for another heatsink(probably alpha) but it's hard to get in the Netherlands , think i have to order from usa orsomewhere.?
Thankz for your reply!!!

i 2 have a p3 800eb and now im running at 900 my pushing the fsb...now this is on a piece of **** motherboard mind you but be aware that at 933 you most likly will have to up the voltage thus creating more heat have fun....im running at 900 so i bet 1gig is very possible...i have no extra cooling because i do not have to up the voltage ...yet

Hi
I am at 984mhz now and all is staying stable, Can run everything like Stability test , 3DMARK, and other stuff. I did not have to raise the voltage yet.fbs is 167mhz , ram is 125mhz , pci is42 mhz.
try'd 1002mhz but got the windows protection screen , maybe have to raise the voltage now but i'll wait for better cooling.!
thankx for replying.
