Which one is quieter? I'm very concerned about noise, so how loud are they?

I have watercooling, and there isn't much that's making noise in my case. Are they louder than an 80mm panaflow L1A? I won't want them if I can hear a *whine* when my case is closed.

the BlueOrb is quieter and lower RPM's, its also less CFM for cooling.

THe CrystalOrb is louder and more RPM's but it has a flat copper base, vice the craptacular aluminum base of the BlueOrb that needs a TON of lapping to get flat.

Put it this way, unless you have a watercooling system, you will never hear either one of them on or off. They are both under 20db, the Blue is 16 i believe (i got one) and the Crystal is 19 db. Both of those are quieter than a human whipser so id get teh Crystal Orb, due to its copper and will perform MUCH better than the blueorb and you dont have to lap it at all to get it flat. plus it looks a TON better.

Also i have 4 80mm Panaflo fans, NO WAY is the BlueOrb even close to that loud(meaning only 1 fan ont all 4). And the Panaflo's are quiet in themselves.

I do have watercooling. The reason I want one is because both my GF3 fan and my NB fan have an annoying whine to them. I don't think that's how they *should* sound. I think the fans are just crappy. So, are the orbs quieter than sucky stock fans?

yes my blueorb on my GeForce is quieter than my darn Northbridge stock fan, and yes northbride stock fans do suck, ir replace the NB and VC fan with Crystal Orbs, if not then go BlueOrb

you should lap the Corb. i lapped mine to remove the tin, until i got a mirror finish on the real copper:D combine with AS3, my load temp drops from 40C to 35C on my OCed Ti200.:D
