Hello PC friends.

Going back from sleep, although it's improves on Windows and the PC side already, is still not reliable, on Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro, it wouldn't go from sleep (essentially a crash wherein you need to soft power Off even coz' restart won't work).

It's more reliable to just set the monitor to turn OFF but how much more power saving in watts are you saving with both sleep and monitor Off (at the risk of crashing or not waking up) vs. just monitor Off?

If it's not much, I'd be just best to not sleep but just turn the monitor Off in the 'Power Management' advanced settings.

Thank you.

Stay safe, God bless.

So.....wouldnt the difference be whatever your PC uses at idle? For example if your PC idles at 75W, when you put it to sleep that drops to nearly zero. In other words, whatever you PC idles at is about how much you'd save. Just shutting the monitor off would obviously save the power the monitor uses while the pc idles.
