I'm currently in the process of obtaining the final parts for the following system:

-Dual Xeon 3.06GHz 533fsb (no L3 cache)
-Asus PC-DL
-2GB Corsair TwinX DDR 400
-4x60 7.2k RPM Maxtor hard drives w/ 8mb cache
-Promise Fasttrack TX4000 with 256mb pc133 SDRAM
-60GB 7.2k RPM IBM hard drive w/ 2mb cache
-CD burner
-DVD-ROM
-Radeon 9800 XT
-floppy
-Audigy 2 ZS
-6 case fans

I was wondering whether to get a 550watt or 660watt psu. I will be using it for very system intensive 3D applications such as 3ds Max 5 and Maya 5 and will be doing hours of rendring with it of very complex scenes. Will 550 do or should I get 660?

use 2 psu

Over at 2cpu, there's a guy whos running 10-36gig 15k u320 in raid 0. I decided to take his advice, since im running 9 myself in my main rig. I use a Antec 550 tru control for the system and an Antec 430 true power for the drives (9 SCSI,DVD,CD,MO).
