My friend has a computer(specs listed below) and he wants to get another 4890. his power supply will not put out enough amps to supply his build, with another 4890. we were looking at the Corsair 650 watt psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005. would this psu provide enough watts for his system(include overclocking).

Current Build:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping(3.5ghz, 1.5v)
eVga 750i FTW sli mainboard
2 x 2GB PC2-6400 OCZ Sli Read memory
HIS Radeon HD 4890 1GB
2 x 160GB Seagate Baracuda 7200rpm Raid0
Sony DVD+RW drive
Ultra 650w 38A 12V rail power supply
Ultra Alluminus Full tower case
Masscool 8WA741 cpu HSF

52a on teh 12v rail would be fine for that setup overclocking (the PSU you listed). Sure hope he has a 1920x1080 monitor for those videocards!

we used a watt calculator and it said 698 watt while gaming, that to me seems very high.

There wont be much left over, but it will still support that system just fine. ;)

If you would like more headroom, get the 750TX/HX(modular).

EDIT: Not sure what you guys have put in there, but I used that calc, which is fairly accurate with these inputs:

Q6600
1 High speed sata HDD
2 Regular speed sata HDD (you have 2 total HDDs)
4 sticks of ram (you have 2)
6 USB devices
4 120mm fans
2 HD4890s

and got 529W.

You can use the EDIT button instead of double posting. ;) :)
