How selective are they when you RMA a GPU?

I bought a PNY Geforce 9800 about 18 months ago. It suddenly stopped working recently. I'm sending it off to be replaced. I've never overclocked it, and it doesn't appear damaged in any way. However, I am worried because I removed some of the graphic stickers, none on that state they void warranties, just ones that say "Geforce 9800." Any experiences with RMAing a product?

it definetly depends on the manufacture, but i have rma'd cards in which i had aftermarket cooling on them and replaced the stock cooler but you could tell i had removed the cooler, without problems.

I dont think you will have to worry about some decals.
