Help, Mr. Wizard! What a nuby I am. Can't get hwbot to accept superpi1M submission. Won't take my 17.691 as a field or fields. Tried every kind of combination. Am I dumb? DAT

Haven't submitted to the bot before to be able to help you, I should be ready to get a run in and give it a shot shortly though, and I'll let you know how it goes for me.

I think it was an hwbot issue. Maybe database problems. Went back later and both super pi subs went in, same inputs, different outputs, GIGO need not apply. Thanks for the attempt.

You know, I don't see doing all 10 without buying an app or 2. 3dmarkvantage-performance looks commercial. A couple of them won't run on either of my machines win7/64. So I'm limited and probably won't finish. It was fun while it lasted and I got pretty good scores but the frustration is too much for now. I keep installing these benchapps and they don't work and they leave **** on my system.

I'm busy getting all these benches done. When my cooling power arrives (San Ace 260CFM fan) I think I'm going to aim for 5GHz on air :D

Yeah baby! Got my 10.:salute: HWBot submissions FTW! Have more benching apps than I do anything else but games. If I keep this up will make another drive just for benching. Actually have one now on other machine. Windows gets confused swapping hw so can get annoying.

Congrats on getting 10 in.

Having a dedicated benching drive is a good idea if you think you may want to get more serious about gathering some points. Quirky benches, hwbot bugs on occasion, and lots of instability... Its very possible to corrupt your OS install by pushing your settings a bit too high leading to garbage data being written over some critical OS file, and the only way to fix that is often installing fresh. Just a heads up so you are warned... Using the hard drive from your daily driver may end up being a pain.

But ya, if you want to bench more intensely, hwbot and quirky benches will probably end up being the least of your worries... Its a game basically centered around fighting your hardware to find a few moments of stability long enough to get an awesome run in.

Did you PM brolloks and did you get a PM back from him saying you were in? Maybe I missed the PM... You have your banner and access now. :salute:

If you haven't already, make sure you shoot brolloks a PM so he can confirm you meet the requirements and give you a proper team captain welcome. ;)

3 legged dogs

Awesome deal, and no, pmed sno.lcn because his name was first on the post. So now will pm brolloks. Thanks everybody for the stimulating threads and support. My goal is to be king of the 3 legged dogs; phenom x3's.:grouphug:

Should be feasible to validate 5ghz with a good chip.

Doubt it'll happen with my chip - I need 1.6v uncore and 1.6v CPU to bench at 4.5GHz. At the same voltages I can do Spi1m at 4.7GHz, but as yet I haven't even been able to validate 4.8GHz, far less 5GHz.

Maybe on a very cold day I can go for 4.8GHz, but this chip definitely isn't top shelf.

Remember too much QPI/Uncore/Vtt voltage is just as bad as too little. These newer platforms aren't like LGA775 where you can just crank the volts and go :D So, be sure to try more and less when messing with that voltage setting.
