I have extremly overclocked P-III. Power supply fan TITAN CT. HD cooler Coolermaster. Fan cooled CPU and AGP. And in front of the case one another fan. Cooling good ... but not quiet. About 26dB total noise.
Has anybody idea, how reduce noise on case cover? I was try teppich, but temperature was going up. What another to use?
Thanks ...

P.S.

How to construct power supply fan outlet to reduce permanent noise ...

You could damped your noise a bit, if your willing to line your case with some type of carpet of foam (there's an article somewhere on the site about that). Either that, or you could put it inside of another box, and just have the proper wires coming out. You could also hook up potentiometers to your fans to slow them down. Either way, these options will hinder your cooling. The only other alternative is watercooling.

You can use nylon screws for your fans, and also some type of rubber gaskets. Sound deadeners like acoustic foam, Dynamat, styrofoam, etc., help a lot too.

Anything two dappen the vibrations. You could also try getting "quiet" fans, or using washers between the fan and your case, and between the screw head and the case. That'll reduce some of it.
