Hi all,

How do I find out the actual ip address of someones domain name.

example. Charter.net is my isp. how can I get that ip address?

There must be a way in internet explorer that shows me the ip as well as the domain name.

OS: WinXP pro

Doug

doesn't alway work????

Now why doesn't the 'ping' command or nslookup command work for all domain names?

I tried microsoft and got no response. I tried another ISP I used to use and it worked.

What gives? Maybe some Servers block your pings????
