how to run qnix qx2710 /w DVI to HDMI cable

I got the qnix with DVI only port. Since I need a longer cable and there is only a HDMI port free on my grphicscard, I bought a DVI-to-HDMI dual-link cable.

My nvidia driver recognizes the display, but it wont let me activate it.

The qx2710 is a 2560x1440p monitor. The cable shows max display is 1920x1080p...

Not sure if that's THE problem, but could be A problem.

Sorry, little late here.

I've actually ran the 2710s before switching to my current displays - they require active DVI-D adapters, and I doubt those are active. That'll be my bet.

I realize they're DP not HDMI, just using them as examples of active adapters.
