how to run wine

yeah so i am a complete newbee to linux and was wondering how do you run wine. and by complete newbee i mean i just installed linux about 2 days ago. also if anyone knows how to can they explain it so i would understand.

You'll need to install wine from an rpm for youir distro. www.winehq.org

Then you'd need to either fake install the windows programs into linux, or linux will need to be able to read the files from a windows install (if you dual-boot).

Then you'd run the wine command and windows application you want to run:

wine /path/to/windows/program.exe
