Ok I have the stock p4 intel heatsink and fan laying around cause i dont use it have a swiftech for my chip, but i kinda dont wanna waste it and i want to use it on the 850 chipset that already has a small heatsink, my question is do you think it will fit? it looks like it just might barely fit in there, the thing is pretty heavy do you think that thermal tape would hold it on there, i dont want to use adheasive incase i have to take the thing off someday
Thanks in advace

Which P4 do you have the 423, or the 478? In either case the heatsink is too heavy to use thermal tape, and it would probably require modification to be used as a chipset cooler.
