How to use my Volt Meter?

Ok I'm completely lost with this thing.VoltMeter
I need to measure the vcore on my mother board but I'm not sure what I need to set the volt meter to.I know were to contact the positive on the mother board and you press the negative on the case.The mother board I'm testing is a Asus a7V8x.

set it to dc 2 volts. red positive goes to the spot on the board and black negitive goes to the case or some other ground
