I read the last article in tips and techniques, but they only list a jump straight to 2.05 on the cBo's.
The cCo's have much better vidpin choices.

I ask since the motherboard I'm using has only Vcore settings of default and default+5%, and I'd like to get this P3 700 to 1.85 Vcore to run it at 933.

You don't actually say which P-III you have, but I think most of the cB0 P-III's had a default voltage of 1.65v (I'm guessing you have a 700). If so, then yes, your options are very limited. About the only thing you can do is connect VID3 and VSS for a modified default of 2.05v as you indicated. There is only one possible way I can think of to get 1.85v. That is to connect VID3 and VSS pins and then isolate (or insulate) the VID2 pin. That might be a bit tricky, but I wonder if a person was to carefully apply several coats of clear finger nail polish to VID2 pin (allowing each coat to dry prior to applying the next one), whether or not that would work?

Yes, I do have a 700.
Since I did the Celeratin hack I could probably handle this one.
Hell, I got this 700 to run on a PPGA mobo (not FCPGA) with mods.

That worked. Thanks, Batboy.
I insulated Vid2 and jumped Vss to vid3.
I'm getting 1.87Vcore now. I will update after I go for 933.

Update:
I couldn't get to 933 with 1.87 Vcore anyway. Oh well. It isn't my RAM, and the only other fsb choice is 124/41. My HDD doesn't like that one. 700 will have to do.
