I have a two position six pin toggle switch. The center posts are longer then the others on the outside. And I want the toggle to turn on/off the power to my rheostats.

It's a DPDT(double pole double throw switch). If you have 2 rheostats, you can wire 1 to each outer pin on each side. Next, solder the power (or ground depending on circuit methodology) to both center pins. Mount the switch and you're done. Remember, the on position is normally away from the outer wires for mounting.
